Themes:

The theme of the Think Tank Thrive is "Innovating for a Sustainable Future." Participants are encouraged to brainstorm, develop, and present innovative ideas that address pressing global challenges, such as climate change, resource conservation, social equity, and technology's impact on society. This theme inspires creative solutions that promote environmental sustainability, inclusivity, and responsible technological advancement. The participants will explore the intersection of technology, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship to drive positive change and shape a better future for generations to come.


Instructions and Procedure

1. Teams

  • Each team can have at most four members. Maximum ten teams can participate from each university.

2. Internal Ideathon*

  • All participating/ organizing universities can have an internal Ideathon in order to finalize top ten teams that will participate in the Think Tank Thrive - Ideathon in Industry Quandaries (main event) on November 29-30, 2023. Participating universities can set their own rules to conduct the internal Ideathon.

3. Sharing of Information

  • The details of top ten teams must be shared between participating universities by November 25, 2023.
  • The final agenda and schedule of the event must be shared between participating universities by November 26, 2023.

4. Expectations from students

  • The students can come up either with their own idea/problem or suggested by a mentor/industry person/any other.
  • Students are expected to come up with an idea that is novel and innovative.
  • The idea should be capable of solving a problem, and the solution should impact society at large.
  • The idea/solution must be feasible and have market potential (can be monetized).
  • The idea/solution should be sustainable.
  • Students must present their idea using a PowerPoint presentation.

5. Jury members

  • Jury members can be professors or industry experts.

6. Tentative Agenda

  • November 29, 2023
    • Inaugural address by dignitaries of all universities.
    • Each team will be given a two-minute time slot to present the problem statements they intend to address through their idea.
    • Then, all teams will be given an opportunity to engage in discussions with their mentors to explore the idea and potential solutions to the problem.
  • November 30, 2023
    • Each team will deliver a presentation to the jury members. Five minutes will be given to each team for such presentation and then, five minutes will be given to the jury members for a question-and-answer session.
    • Winners and runners-up will be announced from all the participating universities based on the ratings/scores received from the jury members.
